I love quotes from competitive people who are striving to achieve. They are so inspiring and motivational - even humorous at times. Consider some of my favorites...
"I have not yet begun to fight," John Paul Jones
"It's not bragging if you can back it up," Muhammad Ali
"90% of this game is half mental," Yogi Berra
And then there is this,
"I missed the bus. They changed the schedule. It was every 10 minutes. Today it was every half-hour. I was late getting here and never caught up. I never felt comfortable in this building. I didn’t feel my inner peace, I didn’t feel my aura. Inside I was black," Johnny Weir.
Johnny Weir isn't a little girl who messed-up in a dance recital - he is an American Olympian! I thought Olympians - especially American Olympians - were supposed to inspire us and remind us of the determination of the human spirit. I keep hoping I'm going to wake up and find out that the French Olypians are posing as Americans... Are we sure the Candians aren't competing for us this year?
Smells like teen (Olympic) spirit

Ugh.
